AHU Internal Sales Engineer x 2 Positions

Summary

The Internal Sales Engineer provides sales support to sales staff/agents, including product information, marketing tools, quotations, application engineering and product development. Where achievable, they will offer professional competitive tender returns to clients by the client return date.

Main Responsibilities

Provides information on product applications, technical assistance, pricing strategies, and competitive information for external sales.
Prepares competitive and compliant quotations using available software to meet client specifications or propose a suitable alternative where required
Analyses and proposes changes in equipment or use of materials, which could result in cost reduction or more efficient operation. (Improve hit rate and profit margin on AHU project margin)
Evaluate and implement product discount strategy project-by-project to meet sales and profit margin goals.
Support their allocated external salespeople
Monitors and maintains a log of enquiries and quotes issued
Follows quotes issued for feedback from external sales and clients
Uses company CRM systems in line with best practices and company policy
Provide the Internal Sales Manager with a weekly report on the workload
Represent the company at client meetings with or without external sales staff where required.
Participates in meetings or direct communications with customers or field sales offices to assist in the resolution of problems and complaints
Prepares and distributes literature, pricing information, technical data and promotional material to sales offices.
Maintaining a teamwork philosophy with other departments facilitates problem-solving and provides good customer service.

Skills/Competencies:

IT Literate - Confident user of Microsoft Office packages
Knowledge of Salesforce is highly desirable
Understanding AHU products would be beneficial
Excellent Communication Skills - both written and verbal
Good organisational skills
Strong team work ethic

Qualifications/Experience:

Mechanical Engineering Degree/HNC/HND
